Suite Like Home La Giulia - Bonassola

Scope of work: Interior design for 11 apartments

Eleven apartments overlooking the gulf of Bonassola, in a Ligurian stone building surrounded by olive trees and citrus groves. La Giulia Suite Like Home was born with a precise ambition: to offer the intimacy of a private home with the care of a quality hospitality structure. When the project was entrusted to us, we chose to work in this direction, not to create eleven versions of the same space, but to give each one its own identity, a name, a story to tell.

Every space was fully renovated and furnished to measure. The materials, fabrics, colours and details were chosen to evoke the territory and landscape surrounding the property: the night sea of the lampare fishing lights, the stone quarries on the border between Liguria and Tuscany, the inland vineyards, the nautical charts of the fishermen, the colourful houses of the Ligurian villages. Each apartment carries a different story, but all speak the same language, that of a precise place, facing the Mediterranean.

The common thread running through the entire collection is artisan care. Curtains, headboards, cushions and lampshades were designed and made in-house by our textile workshop, chosen to give each space its own precise atmosphere, from the raw natural linen of the Nautical Charts to the deep velvets of the Quarries, to the white and blue cotton of the House by the Sea. The lighting design was also considered in every detail: blown glass pendant lights, brass wall lights, hidden backlighting and recessed spotlights were selected and positioned to enhance the materials and create the right emotional warmth in each space.

Some apartments play with deep, enveloping palettes, the midnight blue of the Lampare, the Verona red of the Quarries, the burgundy of the House in the Vineyard. Others opt for more understated, natural tones, such as the sand of the Nautical Charts or the sage green of the Ligurian House. One, the House by the Sea, even allows itself a touch of irony, with a cobalt blue ceiling and stylised fish swimming across the walls.

A project that transformed a hospitality property into a collection of spaces capable of making every guest feel at home, in a home they could never have imagined having.
